Hello, I’m Ashly Donna, the founder of Denim Donna. I launched DD back in 2020. My style is heavily influenced by a deep appreciation for vintage, I’ve been passionate about clothes for as long as I can remember. My closet has always been filled with thrifted treasures and hand-me-downs, and from the moment I could shop, I’ve been drawn to secondhand finds. The concept of circular fashion has always resonated with me, and learning to sew has only deepened my love for reviving old textiles.

My sewing journey began five years ago when I received a sewing machine for Christmas. What started as a curiosity quickly blossomed into a passion, and I immersed myself in a variety of projects. It was in creating wearable pieces that I truly found my calling. My confidence as a seamstress grew significantly during my time working at a tailor shop, where I had the opportunity to sew daily—mainly focusing on alterations and repairs. This hands-on experience was invaluable and played a pivotal role in honing my skills.

Nearly three years ago, I transitioned to pursuing my passion full-time with Denim Donna. At its core, Denim Donna is driven by a deep appreciation for vintage craftsmanship and a commitment to sustainability. The brand embraces the principles of slow fashion, blending creativity with purpose to produce unique, wearable designs. By repurposing old textiles, I strive to breathe new life into forgotten materials, crafting one-of-a-kind garments for one-of-a-kind people. I am incredibly grateful for the support I've received and remain dedicated to contributing to a more sustainable fashion industry—one piece at a time.
